New Herdade das Servas wine released in tandem with the latest album by Anjos
Herdade das Servas, truly a sip of heaven? We think so and we have two angels to prove it! On the evening of December 2, renowned Portuguese pop-rock duo Anjos partnered with us to launch the new Herdade das Servas Tinto 2006 wine.

The event was hosted in Sweet nightclub (formerly known as W) in Lisbon, where Anjos took the opportunity to promote their new album “Virar a Página”. Longtime fellow red wine lovers, singing brothers Nélson and Sérgio Rosado enjoyed a tasting session at the venue, where music and fine wine merged in a thrilling atmosphere.

Dark-ruby-coloured, Herdade das Servas Tinto 2006 exhibits black fruit aromas and intense, full-flavoured tannins. Made from Touriga Nacional (40%), Alicante Bouschet (30%), Aragonês (20%) and Petit Verdot (10%), this wine is fermented in stainless steel presses equipped with automated treading/dipping machines.

It is aged for 14 months in a mix of French (70%) and American (30%) oak barrels and then laid down for a further 16 months in the Herdade das Servas cellars. This results in a wine with outstanding ageing potential, which can not only be stored for the next 12-15 years, but is also ready for immediate consumption, especially when paired up with strong flavoured dishes or starters – cheese and pork sausage come highly recommended.
