After being presented and tasted in the events ‘Wines from Alentejo in Lisbon’ and ‘Meeting with wine and Flavors’, Herdade das Servas Brings this week (07th November 2011) to the market the wine ‘Herdade das Servas Touriga Nacional Red 2008’ and ‘Herdade das Servas Reserva Red 2008’. Two new red wines for Autumn/Winter, this year with new look. The Top of the Range Herdade das Servas, which name is the same as the Farm suffered a restyling when released ‘Herdade das Servas Red 2008’ (at the end of 2010). In August was the first time that ‘Herdade das Servas Syrah | Touriga Nacional Red 2008’ followed the trend. It is now the single vine variety Touriga Nacional and Reserva which “wear” a new line more clean and young, with a touch of romance marked by metallic blue and silver. With the cold come new proposals, full-bodied and complex wine to harmonize with food – red meat, hunt, intense cheeses and sausages. The last proposals from the brothers Serrano Mira are two Top of the Range that promise to be talked about, now and after some years, once are wines with potential to age and keep. Wines with an positive evolution, which can be kept for 8 to 10 years (‘HdS TN 2008’) and 12 to 15 (‘HdS Reserva 2008’), if the bottles are horizontally in a cool and dark place. ‘Herdade das Servas Touriga Nacional Red 2008’ is such the name shows one single vine variety, Touriga Nacional. It has dark violet color; floral aromas suggesting violets integrated with ripe black fruit; and intensive flavour, soft, very elegant with robust tannins. ‘Herdade das Servas Reserva Red 2008’ Was created fro the blend of three grapes – Alicante Bouschet (50%), Touriga Nacional (25%) and Syrah (25%) – and presents itself with a dark ruby color, aroma of ripe black fruit blended with some spice. The flavour is intense, complex and velvety with round and robust tannins. The Recommended Price is around €15,00 in case of single vine variety and €18,00 for ‘Herdade das Servas Reserva Red 2008’. |
