New harvest (2008) ‘Herdade das Servas Syrah | Touriga Nacional’
It was in the cellar and basement of Herdade das Servas , where the family Serrano Mira prepared on of the best of its nectars  ‘Herdade das Servas Red Syrah | Touriga Nacional 2008’.  Two varieties that have been awarded in the National Wine Contest ´V Concurso de Vinhos Engarrafados Alentejanos’ (1st. Prize in the red wines) and internacional level with Silver Medalc at the 18. Edition of the wine contest ‘Sélections Mondiales des Vins 2011’, at Quebec, Canadá.
 
‘Herdade das Servas Red Syrah | Touriga Nacional 2008’ is the second edition (the first was the harvest 2005) one red wine, such as the name indicates is the result of the blend of two most important grapes around the world: 70% Syrah and 30% Touriga Nacional. The aging was made separated, during 12 months in new French oak barrels - allier extra fine (70%) and American (30%). After the lot done, followed by a stage of 12 months in bottle.
 
Integrated with floral aromas, with notes of ripe berries and some notes of spices and mint, it is a dark red wine with violet colour. Medium/high concentration and 14,5 % alcohol content. The palate has an intense flavour, velvety and complex, very elegant, with robust tannins and round to make sure you have a good longevity (positive development for 8 to 10 years, kept in a cool / dark bottle lying down).
 
With a price rounding € 15, 00, it is an ideal wine to harmonize with red meats, wild meat, intense cheeses and sausages. It is recommended that is open one hour before consumption and is served at the temperature of de 16-18.º C.
