‘Monte das Servas’ collects gold in France and enters Canada
 
'Monte das Servas Tinto Colheita Seleccionada 2008' was on Friday, April 15, awarded a gold medal at 35. edition of the Challenge International du Vin (2011), France. In this competition were evaluated 5,000 wines from 35 countries.
 
This victory comes just days after the 'Monte das Servas Tinto Colheita Seleccionada 2008'has been selected from a total of 834 wines in competition for distribution of Liquor Control Board of Ontario (LCBO). Herdade das Servas extends its known distribution and portfolio of products in Canada, this being an international market of great importance.
 
"We are faced with two situations that reinforce recognition of the quality of this wine by the international criticism, which pleases us greatly, especially because it is a wine from our mid-range ('Monte das Servas').", says producer Luís Mira.
 
'Monte das Servas Tinto Colheita Seleccionada 2008' come from four grape varieties in different proportions: 40% Touriga Nacional, 25 % Alicante Bouschet , 20% Aragonez and 15% Trincadeira. Note that the Touriga Nacional tuned in isolation for 12 months in French oak barrels (70%) and American (30%), with the balance expected in consignment steel. After established the Lot has been bottled and matured over six months in the bottle in the cellar of Herdade das Servas to present a dark ruby color, aromas deep, with hints of very ripe fruit, is a red complex in a well-structured set of nice ending and persistent.
